Urspr\u00fcnglich 1834 als \u201eHotel Rosendahl\u201c errichtet, diente es als Posthalterei f\u00fcr die Strecke Duisburg-Wesel. Die klassizistische Fassade zeugt noch heute von dieser Epoche, als Postkutschen und Pferde hier Station machten. Mit dem Aufkommen der Eisenbahn endete die Postkutschen\u00e4ra. Im 20. Jahrhundert wandelte sich das Geb\u00e4ude mehrfach: Es war Vereinsheim, Altenheim und N\u00e4hschule.
